With a reputation for serving great food, Luca and Felicity from the Horseless Cart – Goughs Bay Boat Club is on the move.
The couple, who have a good following of diners, are moving into the Magnolia – Ros Ritchie Wines at the Cellar Door on Mt Buller Road.
Luca and ‘Flick’ will be re-opening the restaurant side of the formerly known 'Magnolia'.
Ros said she is excited to see the kitchen functioning again after quite a few years of it being idle.
“The restaurant side will be run separately from the Cellar Door but the two will work in conjunction as a whole venue,” she said.
“I am excited as the restaurant used to be very popular but for some time has not been operating.”
The restaurant, mainly serving in the ‘Pavilion’, will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays for dinner.
However, if it becomes popular then it may be considered to open on Sunday – perhaps for lunches too.
“It gives us – at the Cellar Door – the opportunity to have caterers on-site as well if we have a function,” Ros said.
“And it gives Luca and Flick the chance to hold functions of their own such as weddings and celebration parties at this beautiful venue.”
The Cellar Door will be open as usual Friday from 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday – 11am to 4pm for wine tastings and snacks.
