The 2023 Wangaratta Chronicle Marathon and Fun Run is being held on Sunday, March 19 2023.
There are five events - Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km Primary School Challenge.

REVOLUTION Theatre Productions is excited to present Roald Dahl‘s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Albury Entertainment Centre from March 16–19, 2023.
This production is based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray).
The score also pays homage to the Leslie Bricusse/Anthony Newley score from the 1971 film with songs from the motion picture including Candy Man, I‘ve Got a Golden Ticket, Oompa Loompa Song and Imagination.
It is also based on a book by David Greig and is licensed exclusively by Music Theatre International (Australasia).
Revolution Theatre Productions is the fundraising arm of Albury Wodonga Community Chest Incorporated and 50 per cent of the net funds raised through productions generates funds for the charitable gift giving work undertaken by Albury Wodonga Community Chest Incorporated. The other 50 per cent goes to Revolution Theatre Productions for support of future productions.

THE Rotary Club of Yea's 51st annual Art Show will be held January 25-29 2023.
The Yea Rotary Art Show is always held over the Australia Day weekend and has built a significant reputation on the Victorian Art Show calendar.
This is made possible by the artists who have supported the show over the years and the public who attend the show and acquire works for their own collections.
Prizes are thanks to the support of the Frank Hargrave Trust, as well as many other sponsors and total more than $7,500, with a first prize of $2,500.

Opening night will be held from 7.30pm on January 25 and the entry cost is $25 per person.

THE Bright Art Gallery Summer Exhibition ‘Celebrate the Alpine Artists‘ is on from November 26 2022 until January 30 2023.
The large exhibition takes over the entire gallery and includes paintings, photographs, sculptural works, mosaics, glass art, ceramics, jewellery, fabric art, woodwork and more.
The participating artists are from all over the North East of Victoria with members of the Bright Art Gallery.

A Portrait of Australia: Stories Through the lens of Australian Geographic is touring the country as part of an unprecedented partnership between the National Museum of Australia and Australian Geographic.
The stunning display of large format photographic prints unites the expertise of Australian Geographic‘s acclaimed photographers and the National Museum‘s interpretive storytelling experience.
National Museum director Dr Mathew Trinca said the exhibition celebrates the bush, the outback, the coast and the people who live and work there.
The photographs will tour Australia for the next two years and were drawn from a book – A Portrait of Australia – which was produced to celebrate 30 years of Australian Geographic‘s magazine.
Venues around the country can select from a collection of 60 photographs to tell their own regional stories – and the stories of the nation.

The date has been set for 19 June and we hope to be back with the Mansfield Lantern Festival and parade. The seventh year of the festival will see the return of open fires, food and wine, children's entertainment, music and plenty of lanterns. Located in the Erril Street precinct this is a fantastic family friendly event for all ages. Lantern Parade begins at 5:30pm. Anyone with a lantern can join the parade. Organised by Walker Events in partnership with the Mansfield Shire Council.

As the highest dragon boat event in Australia (approximately 1,600 metres above sea level), the Falls Creek Dragon Boat Regatta has been held at Rocky Valley lake for over a decade now, bringing together visitors, residents and dragon boat enthusiasts from all over to compete and join in the festivities.
The grassy banks of Rocky Valley Lake are a beautiful place to spend the day with the family and soak in the excitement of the races. On the foreshore there will be food and drinks available, plus on Saturday night the action continues with post-race dinners and parties throughout the village.
If you have not paddled in a dragon boat before there is no need to worry as a range of safety and skills training sessions will ensure you are ready to race.
