Behind the main gallery at Wacky Bird Gallery is the working design studios of local printmaker Christine Upton.
It’s here that the compositions are created, the vinyl blocks are carved and the inks on these original artworks get there final drying.
It’s here you can view and discuss the designs being developed, the techniques used and the next exhibition that is being developed.
An extensive range of cards, A4 framed/unframed artwork, placemats and coasters is found in this area too.
Making the beautiful designs of Christine Upton affordable for everyone.
The ‘Off on Tangents’ exhibition that showcases the artwork that is done when Christine needs to play, explore or just chill, is on until the last weekend in June.
From August ‘They didn’t Fit’ exhibition will be a selection of artworks from the last 10 years, that won’t fit in a major solo exhibition at Belconnen Arts Centre, Canberra, that is on from 17 October to the end of November this year.
The Belconnen exhibition, ‘Memories are like Blossoms’, will have 90 of the 130 artworks created in the last 10 years.
