Dinner Plain ready for a season with no shackles

WINTER is something that everyone who loves Dinner Plain looks forward to, but this year perhaps more than ever before.

After two seasons interrupted by COVID–19, 2022 looks set to the season everyone has been praying for with no restrictions on who can visit to come enjoy the snow.

This has operators of Dinner Plain's winter highlights raring to go with exciting plans for skiing, tobogganing, sled dog tours and more.

Following the popularity of running tobogganing sessions on Dinner Plain's biggest slope, this season will once more offer this unmatched experience of sliding on Cobungra Platter – otherwise known as Australia's biggest toboggan slope.

As soon as the white stuff is on the ground visitors can expect full day tobogganing until school holidays, and then daily afternoon sessions during the school holidays and weekends.

With access free as always, this is bound to be a popular one for families and big kids alike!

Keeping with Dinner Plain's skiing roots, the much loved beginners poma will be back turning every morning where the green ski run will offer skiing, snowboarding and group lessons, perfect to get those ski legs in tune.

Even better, for the first time since 2019 twilight skiing will return on selected nights for turns under the stars.

Out on the trails, resident sled dog tour operators Howling Husky will be in full operation with some new exciting offerings.

The new "Spirit of a Sled Dog" tour will give visitors the opportunity to ride with a dog team to some of the furthest corners of the village with fantastic photo opportunities along the way.

Closer in–bound, Howling Husky will offer unique "sherpa" snow mobile tours for a drive–yourself adventure in the snow.

There's never been a better time to book a snow season escape at Dinner Plain.
