65 years of quality produce

As the weather warms up and the trees in the orchards are coming back to life, spring is a beautiful time of year to visit Nightingales Alpine Produce store in Wandiligong.

With many varieties of apples picked from their very own orchards, you won't be disappointed with the sweet and crunchy fruit.

At Nightingale Bros they sell more than just apples – they have a variety of fresh produce available, their own apple and apple and berry pies and a great variety of jams and relishes.

You can also buy some of the region's best produce, all available from the one store.

If you feel like stopping for a while you can grab a coffee and a muffin (or an apple cider or juice) and sit outside on their outdoor seating, enjoy the fresh air and watch the kids play on the playground.

The Nightingale family have been growing quality apples in the Wandiligong Valley and alpine surrounds for 65 years, with three generations of the family now working in the orchard.

Keith Nightingale, bought the Wandiligong orchard with his brother Alan back in 1954 and still works in the orchards and takes an interest in the business.

Keith was even awarded the title of Industry Legend in 2013 for his contribution to the apple industry.

The 'apple shop' came from humble beginnings, with Marianne (Keith's wife) first selling apples from the garage using a little honesty box.

Nightingale Bros' beautiful produce store and range of award–winning apple ciders are the pride of the family, and their decades of history is at the core of everything they produce.

The Nightingale family have five orchards: two at Wandiligong located five kilometres from Bright; one in the Buckland Valley just below Mount Buffalo; one at Stanley; and one in Batlow in southern New South Wales.

The cool, elevated conditions in these regions concentrate the flavours to produce sweet, juicy apples, and of course their range of delicious ciders and sparkling juices.

Nightingale Bros offer tastings and cellar door sales of Alpine cider and sparkling juice at the Wandiligong produce store year–round.
