‘Broken River Beauties’ to go on display

THE Mansfield Garden Club has an open garden day coming up on Sunday February 19.

"Broken River Beauties" will give the public opportunity to view two beautiful gardens in the Barwite area.

"Barwitian Garden" on Fern Street, Barwite, is located on the banks of the Broken River.

This perennial garden is filled with colour and diversity.

Established by Ralph Bristow of Ralph Bristow Garden Design it is sure to stimulate the senses and provide inspiration for all who visit.

Ralph will also have some of his art works on display.

"Broken Downs" located at 577 Old Tolmie Road, Barwite, features two hectares of park–like gardens set amongst a variety of established deciduous trees and old river gums.

There will be a selection of quirky garden art by Robert Liston to give additional interest.

The cost is $15 for admission to both gardens and a Lucky Ticket Prize of a $100 Bunnings Gift Card will be drawn and awarded to a winner at 3PM.

Children under 12 can attend for free.
